Switching to All Access from the Legacy Standard plan

So... you've been a Python Morsels subscriber since 2020 or earlier: you're on the Legacy Standard plan and now it's time to switch to the All Access plan. If that's your situation, this page is for you! Thank you for being a long-time! ðŸ’–

  1. I'm only part way through my billing term. What will happen when I switch plans?
  2. How is the All Access plan different?
  3. Is there still a weekly routine with the All Access plan?
  4. Can I get a new exercise problem statement emailed to me every week?
  5. Can I have a solutions email every week?
  6. What about my exercise credits?

I'm only part way through my billing term. What will happen when I switch plans?

You'll receive prorated credit when you switch plans. So if you're 6 months into the Lite Annual plan (paying $50/year) and you switched to All Access plan (at $200/year) you'll get a $25 credit added to your subscription, meaning your first invoice for the All Access plan will be $175 instead of $200. Your next billing date will remain unchanged. See the  Switching Plans help page for more info on switching plans.

How is the All Access plan different?

The All Access plan includes:
  • Access all exercises in the exercise vault, which includes over 200 exercises
  • The ability to solve another exercise at any time and preview exercises before you claim them
  • Access to dozens of shorter mini exercises, which are exclusive to All Access users
  • Recommendations and reminders for exercise revisits to help reinforce newly learned skills
  • Discounts on Trey's workshops and courses

What doesn't the All Access plan include? The one thing you may miss is that solution walk-through text isn't emailed anymore. You can read through the solution walk-through for each exercise you solve through the web app. It just won't also show up in your email.

Is there still a weekly routine with the All Access plan?

There is! Every Monday at 7am US Pacific Time, you'll receive an email recommending your next exercise. You can click a link to read the problem statement and work on the exercise. If you don't like the exercise, you can skip it and solve a different one instead.

Can I get a new exercise problem statement emailed to me every week?

(If you already have "Flexible Mode" enabled, this question isn't relevant to you)

Nope. The regularly scheduled Monday emails on the All Access plan are recommendation emails. They'll say "we recommend this exercise next" and then you can click to see the problem statement for that exercise and start to solve it. Keep in mind that you can still keep a weekly routine with the all access plan (thanks to the weekly recommendation emails). The email format is just a bit different in that the problem statement isn't in the email body.

Can I have a solutions email automatically emailed to me every week?

(If you already have "Flexible Mode" enabled, this question isn't relevant to you)

Not right now. Only a couple users have requested such a feature so far and our team doesn't yet understand the primary user motivations behind this question. If this question is important to you and you'd like to help us out by explaining what it is you like about the solution email, please email us. Trey would love to chat with you about this.

What about my exercise credits?

If you have exercise credits, don't fret! The All Access plan doesn't use exercise credits (since you'll simply have access to everything as long as you're subscribed), but if you received exercise credits from pausing, Flexible Mode, or a redemption code, you can cash in your exercise credits for a one-time discount on the All Access plan. You'll get $4 of promotional credit per exercise credit.
