Courses and Python Jumpstart
Python Morsels courses are guided, multi-section paths that mix short screencasts, articles, quiz questions, and exercises. You can see all current courses on the courses page.
Who has access to courses?
Every course is included in the All Access plan. While you're subscribed to All Access, you can enroll in and work through any course at no extra cost.
Some courses can also be purchased individually. Buying a course this way gives you lifetime access to that course, whether or not you ever subscribe. Python Jumpstart is currently available for individual purchase; see its overview page for details.
Each course also includes one or more free sections that anyone with a Python Morsels account can try, no subscription needed.
Do course exercises use exercise credits?
No. Exercises inside a course are part of the course, so they never cost exercise credits.
What happens if my subscription ends?
If you enrolled through All Access and your subscription ends, the paid sections of the course are locked until you subscribe again. The free sections stay available, and you can still open the course page and see the progress you made.
Your progress is never deleted: if you resubscribe later, you'll pick up exactly where you left off.
If you purchased a course individually, your access to it is lifetime access, so it doesn't depend on a subscription at all.
How is my progress tracked?
Each screencast, article, quiz question, and exercise in a course is tracked separately, and your overall course progress updates as you complete them. Screencasts and articles are marked done with a button on each page, quiz questions complete when you answer correctly, and exercises complete as you solve them.
